re genealogy
hi found you through Ballardie research, davadina's father may be David Ballardie who married in W Derby in March 1851, see freebmd rootsweb there he is listed volume 20 p 868. The date may help you if you choose to get a certificate where you can gain more info if interested.(my maternal grandmother was a Ballardie) wedding cert would give you more info as to which David as there were several cousins, see scotland 1841 census I believe he may be the David living with sister Margaret and grandfather/uncle(haven't got my notes beside me as to which) Alexr in Campuir village,Scotland. he was 15 at the time, one other David (cousin) at that time was only three months old. I also know my ggrandfathers uncle and family moved to England that area...all descendants traced back to common heritage scotland, coming from France, coming from Italy. Those in the USA descend from two branches of the family, one my grandmothers g uncle, the other via scotland, to Belgium to south Africa and South America then from Panama to USA.hope this may be of help if you didn't already have it. 7 or more spellings for Ballardie IN BMDS and LDS, and Scotland archives, include Balardie Ballairdie, Billardie Ballardy amongst others. Ballairdie after original settlement in Scotland near Abernyte now known as Ballardie where 1884 census show Peebles residing in Ballardie Farm ( a Peebles married a Ballardie) so these were cousins. hope this is of some interest. Annette
