This database contains documents of various kinds. Some contain data that has already gone into the database but many contain data that has been collect but not yet analysed or placed into the main family tree. All these documents have been converted to PDF files for ease of viewing and printing, you will need Adobe reader to read them, though this is already installed in the majority of web browsers, got to Adobe for a free copy if you do not have it. If you would like the information in other formats then please contact me. In some cases the documents are marked restricted, usually where information is family confidential or there are entries of living people, you must be signed in to read them, please mail me to be registered and given a password.

Will of Roger Steel of Burrells, Appleby. 1808
This line descends from Edward Steel who married Hannah Jackson in Appleby in 1723. There are no known Edwards in my line so if there is any link it is probably before George born circa 1690.
